Is your horse unwell? This page cannot help in an emergency, and our messages are not read around the clock. Call your vet or the on-call vet straight away. For an injured person: 112 or, in France, 15.
A question about the app, a technical problem, an idea? Write to us: every message is read by a person on the team.
Write to us
Write to contact.equiflow@devolim.fr, or from the app: Settings, "Write to the team". We reply as soon as possible. For a technical problem, tell us your phone model, the system version and, if possible, send a screenshot. We do not give veterinary advice by email: for your horse's health, ask your vet.
You can also send us a suggestion or a bug from the app (Settings, "Suggestions and bugs"). These messages contain neither your name nor your email: we cannot reply to them, and they are deleted automatically 12 months after they are sent (see the privacy policy).
Frequently asked questions
What is Equiflow?
The everyday app for riders who have one or more horses: the health record and its reminders, a working week suggested according to your horse's condition, your competitions, weather for riding, advice, and Jo, an AI that keeps you company. The Emergency page (calling the vet and the warning signs), in the Horse tab, stays free and works even offline.
Does Jo replace my vet or my instructor?
No. Jo is an artificial intelligence: it can be wrong, it never says what is wrong with your horse, names no medicine and gives no lessons. It helps you get organised, prepare your questions for the vet and your sessions. At the slightest doubt, call your vet. See the health and safety disclaimer.
Is the app free?
The app is free to download. Your horse's health record and everything related to its safety (emergency, warning signs, calling the vet) remain free, like other features shown in the app. An optional Premium subscription unlocks the rest. Its content, price and terms are shown in the app and by the App Store or Google Play before any purchase.
What is sent to Jo? Does anyone read my messages?
Nothing is sent without your consent. After that, only when you use Jo: your request and what is strictly useful about your horse and your riding (age, breed, discipline, level, latest sessions, care), never its name, nor yours, nor its numbers, nor its yard. It goes through our server in Europe, then to OpenAI, which writes the answer. Our server keeps nothing; OpenAI may keep this data for up to 30 days to detect abuse, and does not use it to train its AI. No one on the team reads your conversations, which stay encrypted on your phone, except the excerpt of an answer you choose to report. You can withdraw your consent at any time in Settings.
What about the photos I have Jo read?
A photo is only sent when you ask Jo to read it, without its metadata (no location or date). Jo reads everything it can see: on a passport or an invoice, hide your name and address if they are not needed. The result is a suggestion: check it, nothing is recorded without you. For a wound, it is never veterinary advice.
How does sharing with my part-loaner, instructor or vet work?
You create an invitation with a role (what the person will be able to see and add), and you send them the code yourself. Everything shared is end-to-end encrypted: only invited people can read it, not us. You can remove someone at any time. Only share with people you know: we check neither their identity nor their diplomas, and sharing does not change who has custody of the horse.
Is my data private?
Yes. No account, no advertising, no resale, no GPS. Profiles, the record, photos, sessions and conversations stay encrypted on your phone: we have no access to them. What leaves the phone: what you send to Jo, what you share (encrypted), the town chosen for the weather, a few technical items (session identifier, crash reports, subscription status), the suggestions and reports you choose to send, and statistics if you agree. Details are in the privacy policy.
I changed phone: how do I get my data and Premium back?
Your data is on the old phone: it is not included in iCloud or Google backups. Before changing, make a backup in Settings, Backup: it is encrypted with a password you choose, and you store the file wherever you like. On the new phone, restore it with that password. No one can recover this password, not even us: write it down somewhere safe. For Premium: install the app with the same Apple or Google account, then tap "Restore purchases".
Reminders do not arrive: what can I do?
Check that the app's notifications are allowed in the phone's settings, and that battery saving or a focus mode is not blocking them. On Android, allow exact alarms. Reminders remain a memory aid: keep an eye on your horse's record.
Jo is not answering: why?
Jo needs an internet connection and your consent. It may also be temporarily unavailable (maintenance, provider outage), or resting until the next day after very heavy use (reasonable use, see the terms). If your horse is unwell, do not wait for Jo: call your vet.
Does the app work outside France?
The app is designed first for France: competition rules and Galop levels are those of the FFE. Elsewhere, the record, the sessions and Jo work, but check your country's rules. For a human emergency, 112 works throughout the European Union.
From what age?
16, in every country. At 16 and 17, the app asks you to confirm that a parent or guardian agrees before you use Jo and before you subscribe. Under 16, a parent can use the app to follow the horse, and you can look at its week together.
Manage or cancel a subscription
In the app, "Cancel my subscription" (Settings) takes you straight to the right place. The subscription is managed from your Apple or Google account. Uninstalling the app does not cancel it.
- iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions
- Android: Google Play › profile › Payments and subscriptions › Subscriptions, or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions
The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: you keep Premium until then, and your data stays on your phone. The full terms are in the terms of sale.
Change your mind within 14 days
You have 14 days after the purchase to withdraw from your subscription, without giving a reason:
- in the app, Settings, "Withdraw from the contract here", then "Confirm withdrawal";
- on iPhone, you can also ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com;
- in all cases, by email to contact.equiflow@devolim.fr, with the purchase date and, if you have it, the session identifier (Settings, Privacy) or the Google Play order number. We confirm receipt by email.
You are refunded in full, no later than 14 days after telling us. The details and the form are in the terms of sale.
Back up or delete my data
Equiflow has no accounts: there is therefore no account to delete, only your data.
- Back up: Settings, Backup. The file is encrypted with your password; store it wherever you like.
- Delete my data: in the app, Settings, "Delete my data". Everything on your phone is erased (horses, record, photos, sessions, competitions, conversations), as well as, if you are connected to the internet, what our servers keep about your session: counters, subscription status, shares you own and their invitations, your place in other people's shares, suggestions and reports sent. The statistics identifier is erased and your session identifier is replaced. This is permanent. Without a connection, deletion on our servers is retried automatically each time you open the app, until it succeeds.
- What remains, with no content: your subscription, linked to your Apple or Google account (remember to cancel it), purchase information at RevenueCat, and logs, reports and statistics already sent, which are deleted on their own when their period ends. A backup you stored elsewhere is not erased.
- Without the app (uninstalled, phone lost): the data on your phone cannot be erased remotely, but it is encrypted. For our servers, write to contact.equiflow@devolim.fr with the subject "Delete my data" and, if you noted it, your session identifier (Settings, Privacy): we erase everything linked to it within one month and confirm it to you. Without this identifier, we cannot know which data is yours; it is then deleted on its own at the periods in the privacy policy (at the latest 2 years after the last activity for a share).
Report a problem or content
An answer from Jo that seems wrong or dangerous to you? Report it directly in the app ("Report this answer"). A mistake in a reminder, a competition rule that has changed, content that seems illegal to you? Write to us, stating the screen concerned and what is wrong: we check and fix it as quickly as possible. A mistake affecting a horse's health or safety is handled first.
